6m JA pileup
On 18.07.2020 there was an outstanding 6m opening to Japan. Usually I hear very few if any stations from Japan but this time it was different. When I turned on the RIG at 06h UTC I could decode the first JA station in FT8 to my surprise. After that more and more were added. The signals came in waves in intervals of several minutes with and without signals which is quite normal. In the end I could reach 43 radio friends from Japan. It was also a great experience to have a pileup like on a DX expedition. Not many other stations from Germany had the same wire to Japan as I did at that time. As one friend said: you had your personal fibreglass line to Japan. Finally I managed to work 18 new squares. My Rig this time was a Icom IC-7300, 6el Yagi, 750W.
